Transfer Students

The Molecular Cell & Developmental Biology Department welcomes applications from students who are prepared to enter the program at the junior-level.

Students intending to transfer must complete a set of foundation courses to be admitted to the major, see our Transfer Admissions criteria for more information.

In addition to the required courses, we recommend all transfer students complete the courses outlined in our Transfer Preparation information.

UCSC offers a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) to those students who earn a 3.0 in their transfer coursework, for more information visit the TAG information for our majors at UCSC Admissions.

Transfer students who have registered to attend UCSC in this upcoming year should review our Transfer Orientation instructions for transitioning to UCSC.

For more information regarding admission to UCSC as a transfer student, visit the UCSC Admissions web site.
